About RIF/GRPS: RIF seeks to instill the love of reading within the students of the Grand Rapids Public Schools! We know that nothing is more effectual at teaching a child to read than capturing their imagination with a great story. Two out of three families in underprivileged homes do not have access to books outside of school. And yet, books in the home is the second greatest indicator of student success. That's why we deliver two brand-new books to every student, preschool through 5th grade in GRPS, every year, for 40 years running.
